Will I fail a drug test?

We cannot make any claims on whether or not any of our products will show up on a drug test. Our products are tested containing no THC. We are not legally able to make any recommendations or guarantees regarding drug tests. If that is a concern, we would recommend not consuming any CBD products, and/or doing some further research at ProjectCBD.org, before making the decision to consume any CBD.

How should I store my THC-free products?

You can store your purchase in a cool, dry place. While you are welcome to store your products in the refrigerator, it is not necessary. We recommend storing our vape cartridges upright to avoid leaking.

What are the payment options to purchase?

The current payment options to purchase from our online store are credit and debit card. You can find payment options at checkout.

Our processor accepts all major credit and debit cards, and PayPal.

What is the endocannabinoid system (ECS) ?

It all started in 1964, when a scientist from Israel, Raphael Mechoulam, was able to identify the two major compounds of the cannabis plant: THC and CBD. Being able to isolate these cannabinoids was a huge step in discovering the endocannabinoid system. It is a biological system that can be found in every living thing with a vertebrae (e.g., mammals, birds, fish, reptiles, and amphibians). Mechoulam realized that the cannabinoids connect with receptors housed in many of the cells in our body. By connecting to the CB1 and CB2 receptors, cannabinoids act as chemical messengers.

It wasn't until 1992 that researchers discovered that many cannabinoids work with our naturally occurring endocannabinoid system, each bringing a variety of properties. They were able to locate two cannabinoids, anandamide (AEA) and 2-arachidonyl glycerol (2-AG), that we excrete from our own bodies. These cannabinoids form a wider system of intercellular communication within our bodies. This previously unknown system is now called the endocannabinoid system. It is associated with our bodies’ self-regulating processes, such as control of temperature and pH. It is involved in many aspects of our body, including motor coordination, neuron protection, pain control, and appetite, among others. The endocannabinoid system helps maintain complex biological functions. This process is known as homeostasis. CBD is only one of over 100 cannabinoids produced by the plant. Research is constantly developing, and we have now learned that other cannabinoids have therapeutic results as well. This could make them very helpful in the treatment of pain, cancer, and HIV.

What is CBD isolate?

CBD isolate is exactly how it sounds—pure, isolated cannabidiol. CBD isolate comes in a white crystalline powder and is 99% pure CBD. It is odorless and tasteless, making it an easy and efficient way to get in your daily dose. During the extraction process, oils, waxes, chlorophyll, and other plant matter are removed from the herb. This process leaves you with nothing but pure cannabidiol. We source locally from cultivators we trust to ensure our product has no additives or contaminants and is grown according to organic standards.

What is full-spectrum distillate?

“Full-spectrum CBD is an extract that contains all compounds found naturally occurring in the plant, including terpenes, essential oils, and other cannabinoids.” —CBD Origin

This is the first result after the CO2 distillation process. This would be considered your purest form of the plant profile. From there, the compound can be broken down even further to pull out specific cannabinoids and terpenes. This would then be called a narrow spectrum product. Then the final process is isolating whichever compound is needed, like CBD.

The cannabinoids included in our CBD vape products are, CBD-V, CBG, CBN, CBC, and of course CBD.

Studies have shown that there are many benefits of using the different cannabinoids. Our full-spectrum oil contains:

CBD-V: anticonvulsant, anti-inflammatory, and anti-nausea properties; can positively impact pain and mood disorders; particularly effective in providing symptom relief for Crohn’s disease, HIV/AIDS, and MS

CBG: anti-inflammatory, anti-fungal, and anti-tumor properties; has exhibited positive effects for cancer, glaucoma, inflammation and skin diseases

CBN: sedative effect; anti-convulsant and anti-inflammatory properties

CBC: anti-inflammatory, anti-depressant, anti-fungal, and anti-cancer properties

There has been quite a bit of debate about whether CBD isolate is better than full spectrum, or vice versa. Our experience is that varies from person to person and from need to need. That’s why here at CBD Therapy, we offer both options so you can choose what works best for you—full spectrum, isolate, or a combination of the two.

Why shouldn't I just buy from out of the country? It seems cheaper.

For centuries, people have been using hemp to remove toxic metals from soil. It is an incredible way to clean up land that was otherwise useless. The major issue, especially when buying out of country, is knowing exactly where they planted the hemp. Toxic land is inexpensive, so many farmers will plant acres of hemp, extracting the CBD that now holds all the heavy metals and toxins we should avoid.

CBD Therapy gets all of its hemp from local Colorado-sourced farms. We personally visit the farmland and have built a relationship with the cultivators. The North Fork Agriculture farm is located in Paonia, Colorado. It runs on approximately 300 acres of land, at two different locations. The head cultivator has been in the cannabis community for generations, studying and learning how to successfully plant an organic farm. Although they are not fully certified as an organic grower, all of their practices are up to organic standards. They offer scheduled tours, so contact us if you are interested in visiting the farm!

How exactly am I supposed to use CBD?

These are some of the easiest ways to get your daily dose in:

  • Place it directly under your tongue: CBD isolate is a tasteless, odorless, fine, white powder, making it simple to use in a variety of ways. Place the CBD isolate or tincture directly under your tongue and hold it there for about 60 seconds. The CBD will then be delivered to the bloodstream via the mucus membranes to provide the relief you desire.

  • Ingest it: Our CBD capsules are mixed with hemp protein powder, providing a completely tasteless and practical way to ingest CBD. If you're looking for a flavorful treat, CBD gummies are a fun and easy way to eat your daily dose. Because CBD contains so many amino acids and fatty acids, it helps speed your body’s ability to make protein, which improves recovery time. For this reason, many athletes supplement with CBD for enhanced athletic performance.

  • Mix it into your beverages: The isolate, tincture, and our CBD honey can be blended into any smoothie. The CBD isolate mixes easily into juice or any other liquid of your choice. The CBD-infused honey and isolate also dissolves great into your coffee or tea! According to studies, CBD may help in decreasing anxiety, so combining it with soothing green tea is a winning combination for many. Proponents, like Craig Leivent, PharmD, says that the combination of CBD and coffee will give you the alertness of coffee without the jitters.

  • Apply it topically: Our CBD roll-on is great for massaging onto achy spots and gentle enough to apply to the face. Made with jojoba and vitamin E oil, the roll-on is a soft and luxurious way to enjoy the benefits of cannabidiol. Our CBD lip balm is the best option for protecting your lips. Vitamins A, C, E, and B are found in abundance in CBD, along with up to 20 amino acids and essential fatty acids, such as omega-3 and omega-6. Studies show that the amino acids in CBD help reduce inflammation, redness, eczema, and dry skin, and clear up acne. Our extra-strength CBD salve is another way to help protect your skin against the elements we experience daily. Our CBD body butter has a closer consistency to lotion. There is no added beeswax or water to this recipe, only pure and natural oils. Indulge and rub the CBD body butter all over, or use it on specific pain spots.

  • Smoke or vape it: If you're looking for immediate relief, products that can be vaped or smoked might be your best option. Thousands of testimonials and some scientific studies report CBD offers healing for all sorts of mental and physical health conditions, including anxiety, insomnia, pain, inflammation and epilepsy. CBD vaping has a faster absorption rate when compared to edibles or topicals. The CBD is absorbed into your bloodstream through the lungs. It is common for the effects to be felt immediately or within the next few minutes. CBD Therapy’s Individual Vape Cart contains only full-spectrum distillate, giving you a variety of benefits. No added flavoring or preservatives. Nothing but the PLANT! If you're looking for pure concentrates to use with a rig, CBD Dabs is also an excellent option. We also offer hemp leaf Cannagars and Rose Wrap Pre Rolls. These two products are a fun and unique way to enjoy a variety of cannabinoids. Great for a birthday, bachelor/bachelorette party, or for no other reason other than to treat yourself.

How do I measure out my CBD?

Keep in mind that CBD isolate is 99% pure. A gram of CBD isolate will typically contain over 990 milligrams of CBD. This means that for every one milligram of powder, you’re essentially getting one milligram of CBD. If you are wondering if you should increase your CBD mg dosage, you should consider your severity of symptoms, body size, and prior CBD use. We recommend starting with the suggested dose, and then moving to a higher potency. See container for specific dosage, and feel free to contact CBD Therapy with any other questions.

**CBD is not a cure or treatment for any medical disorder; it is a potentially beneficial dietary supplement. Consult with your doctor before using CBD products. CBD can interact with some types of medication.**
